Privacy Policy

SmartHL, also published as the Smart Home Loan Repayment Planner, is operated by Sunshine Tech. References in this policy to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Sunshine Tech.

This policy explains how we handle personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Everything you enter stays on your own device. It is handled in two different ways:

• The figures you type in — loan amount, interest rate, term, offset balance, extra repayments and start date — are held only in your browser’s memory for the duration of your visit. They are not written to disk, and they are discarded when you refresh the page or close the tab.
• Scenarios you choose to save are written to your browser’s local storage, so they remain available when you return. They stay on your device until you delete them or clear your browser data.

Neither is ever transmitted to us. We have no database, no user accounts, and no server-side storage of your figures. We cannot see your inputs, and we could not retrieve them even if asked.

You control this data entirely. Refreshing the page or using Reset in the calculator clears the current figures; deleting a scenario, or clearing your browser data, removes saved scenarios permanently.

If analytics are enabled, we may use Google Analytics to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage information such as pages visited, approximate region, device type, browser, and time spent. This helps us understand which features are useful.

This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. We do not combine analytics data with anything you type into the calculator, because we never receive your calculator inputs in the first place.

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
• We do not ask for your name, address, bank details, or login credentials.
• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not store your loan figures on any server.
• We do not share your calculator inputs with lenders, brokers, or advertisers.

SmartHL will never ask you for banking logins, account numbers, or passwords. If a site claiming to be SmartHL asks for these, it is not us — do not provide them.

The Service is delivered over HTTPS and applies standard browser security headers, including a Content Security Policy. Because your loan data stays on your device, the most important safeguard is your own device security — use a passcode, keep your browser updated, and avoid entering figures on shared or public computers.

The Service is intended for adults considering home loan repayments and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
